Working for Business and Community since 1882

The Santa Fe Chamber is committed to four main areas of focus based on the core competencies of chambers across the country. They are –

  • Creating a strong local economy;
  • Promoting the community;
  • Representing the interests of business to government; and
  • Providing networking and marketing opportunities.

Formed in 1882 under the name The Santa Fe Board of Trade, and becoming the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce in 1911, the Chamber represents over 1,100 businesses in the Santa Fe area. Through the energy of its board, volunteers and committees, the Chamber represents the interests of the business community, helps business owners solve problems through shared resources, and works toward strengthening the local economy.

Chamber members can take advantage of the Chamber’s business advocacy efforts with government officials, monthly networking events, Resource Center referrals, brochure displays, marketing opportunities, website and directory listings, business exposure, committee involvement, health and dental insurance, and mailing labels.

The Chamber hosts annual special events including the Santa Fe Business Expo, Golf Tournament, Legislative Reception, and an Awards Banquet.

The Chamber’s Resource Center answers over 36,000 telephone calls, handles 15,000 walk-ins and 10,000 email inquiries each year, and distributes over 250 relocation packages to individuals and businesses considering a move to Santa Fe. The Chamber’s Plaza Visitor Center, located in space generously provided by First National Bank and staffed by the Bienvenidos volunteer group, handled over 42,300 visitor inquiries between May and October 2007.
